Meet Yan Wang
ASLA, PLA, MArch
Yan Wang brings over 20 years of experience in architectural design and illustration. With a background in both architecture and landscape architecture, she offers a comprehensive understanding of how buildings and landscapes relate—shaping spaces that connect people with their environment in meaningful ways.
As a former design lead at a well-regarded landscape architecture firm, Yan brings strong design leadership and creative vision to every project. She is a licensed landscape architect and a certified Outdoor Learning Environment (OLE) specialist, with deep expertise in playgrounds and educational landscapes.
Her portfolio includes a wide range of project types, such as urban redevelopment, community planning, playgrounds, resorts, campuses, and civic spaces—many of which have been successfully built and praised by both clients and users.
Yan is passionate about drawing as a tool for ideation, communication, and creative exploration. Her illustrations combine freehand sketching, watercolor washes, and digital rendering to convey design ideas with clarity, warmth, and emotional resonance. Her work reflects a thoughtful balance of artistry and technical precision, rooted in the belief that hand drawing sharpens creativity and deepens our connection to place.
